UK FITTED KITCHEN FURNITURE MARKET RESEARCH REPORT

Demand for fitted kitchen furniture is expected to increase by 1% to £866.1 million in 2007. The UK market for kitchen furniture has fluctuated in recent years as a result of interest rate increases and the successive impact on consumer confidence, declines in consumer spending and continued house price inflation. In particular demand between 2005 and 2007 is believed to have been buoyed by strong growth of 73% and 8% in public and private housing output respectively.

MARKET FORECAST 2008-2012:

UK demand for fitted kitchen furniture is anticipated to increase in each year of the forecast period. In 2012 the annual rate of growth is expected to reach £886.4 million (at 2007 prices), representing real term growth of 2% since 2007. This reflects the anticipated buoyancy of both public and private housing construction between 2007 and 2012.
