UK DOMESTIC CENTRAL HEATING MARKET RESEARCH REPORT

After researching the UK domestic central heating market development and taking into account various other factors the following conclusions can be drawn from MBD's report:

MARKET REVIEW 2003-2007:

The value of the UK market for domestic central heating reached an estimated £1597.8 million in 2007. The UK market for domestic central heating products recorded double digit growth in each year between 2003 to 2005 with levels peaking at 15%. Growth rates are believed to have moderated in the latter two years of the review period with increases of 6% and 5% believed to have been recorded in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

MARKET FORECAST 2008-2012:

The UK market for domestic central heating is projected to increase year-on-year culminating in overall growth of 8% over the forecast period. By 2012 the market is forecasted to reach £1781.2 million (at 2007 prices). Furthermore growth rates are anticipated to oscillate between 1% and 3% in real terms. The growth in the domestic central heating market reflects various government initiatives such as the decent homes programme, the warm front initiative, heating grants and housebuilding targets to build two million new homes by 2016.
